A £20m bid has been proposed by Wigan Council to transform Haigh Hall, a historic building in Haigh Woodland Park.
The first floor of Haigh Hall will be dedicated to culture and heritage, with an exhibition of Theodore Major’s work, who rarely put his artwork on display.
An art gallery proposal has been put forward to feature the permanent loan of the Wigan born artist’s collection, alongside an area for education for children, event space for weddings and parties, rooftop terrace, restaurant, bar and much more.
This will be a fantastic opportunity for the public to view Theodore’s work created throughout his life.

We at Collect Art have a selection of Theodore’s work. Not all paintings are displayed on the website. But if you would like to discuss purchasing any of Theodore’s work, please contact the gallery.
