Berry, Arthur

Arthur Berry was born in Smallthorne, North Staffordshire, in 1925. He was taught at Biddulph Council School, Burslem College of Art and the Royal College of Art, prior to himself teaching at Manchester College of Art, Burslem College of Art and Chelsea College of Art. He was also a Lecturer in Painting at North Staffs Polytechnic, a position from which he retired in 1985. His paintings have been exhibited at the Peter Jones, Crane Kalman, Hanley Municipal, and Newcastle Galleries as well as Keele University.
