Linda Weir, born 1951 in Manchester
BA Hons in Fine Art at Manchester Metropolitan University.
MA in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University.
PGCE in Art.
1983-2003 Held several teaching posts including at University of Nottingham and Manchester Metropolitan University.
Member of Manchester Academy of Fine Art and founding member of Manchester Artists Studio Association.
She now lives and works in Cornwall where she finds inspiration in the beauty of the coastline, beaches, harbours and quaint rural communities.
She always works outside and produces modernist impressionistic pictures in impasto oils.
They are full of vivid colour and movement with dazzling qualities of reflected light.
She has exhibited extensively in one-woman and mixed shows across he country.
